Verizon Communications

Our lawyers assisted Verizon Communications in negotiating grants of location to install telecom equipment in cities and towns in Massachusetts, including Boston, Worcester, Billerica, Quincy, Newton, Needham and Brookline. Our work with Verizon included negotiation of easements to cross the land of private property owners, as well as establishing sites for wireless telecommunications towers.

Driving Telecommunications Forward

We were counsel in a billion-dollar merger that created a Luxembourg-based, multinational cellular telephone company, and one of the cellular industry’s first international data and financial clearinghouses. We also helped a Luxembourg-chartered, satellite-based broadband Internet and interactive digital television company with a successful private placement involving high-profile U.S. and European investors.

TVRadio Now, Corp.

Our lawyers represented TVRadio Now, Corp., the owner and operator of iCraveTV, in litigation with the major motion picture studios, broadcast networks and several sports leagues, involving the streaming of video over the Internet. Our work with TVRadio Now has extended to representing the company in several hearings before the U.S. Congress.

PrimeTime 24 Joint Venture

We represented PrimeTime 24 Joint Venture, a satellite carrier, in lawsuits around the country against the major broadcast networks and their affiliates, as well as against the National Football League, DirecTV, Inc., EchoStar Satellite Corp., and others. Our work with this client extended to proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission and the United States Copyright Office concerning the Satellite Home Viewer Act, eventually leading to the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act of 1999.
