DESCRIPTION

The non-profit sector is the fastest growing industry sector around the world.  In 2006, charitable giving in the US was $295 billion, setting a new annual record.  Each year, 65% of American families contribute to charity.  But, with more than 1.6 million non-profits in the US alone, the non-profit sector is highly fragmented and continues to be faced with unclear metrics of performance / impact.  Deciding where and how to give remains a constant challenge for individuals and families committed to philanthropy.

Join us as TiE draws on a panel of veteran members with a deep interest in social impact who have decided to pursue new models of social philanthropy.  From family foundations to giving circles, these entrepreneurial philanthropists have created innovative, individualized models of giving that (1) deliver social impact; (2) ensure effective use of capital; and (3) meet personal goals.
