DESCRIPTION
The Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) Patent Law Committee invites you to attend a seminar focusing on the ever changing standard of what constitutes inequitable conduct in practice before the Patent Office. This seminar will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Conference Center at WilmerHale in Boston.
The seminar will address the swings in the pendulum by the courts in finding inequitable courts. The speakers will also discuss how to best avoid potential findings of inequitable conduct in your practice, including prosecution pitfalls and strategies to avoid creating grounds for inequitable conduct, as well as strategies for the relationship between in-house and outside counsel. A litigation perspective will also be provided, for example, what raises red-flags in litigation for a potential assertion of inequitable conduct. A brief summary of legislative proposals relating to inequitable conduct will also be provided.
