Cynthia Lewiton Jackson, Former Global Director of Career Development at Bain & Company, Joins Foley Hoag

Assumes Newly-Created Director of Professional Development Position

Cynthia Lewiton Jackson, former Global Director of Career Development at Bain & Company, has joined the law firm Foley Hoag LLP as its first Director of Professional Development. In this role, Ms. Jackson will be responsible for developing and implementing a firmwide career development program for its lawyers and staff.

Previously, Ms. Jackson held a number of leadership positions in career development and alumni relations at Bain & Company during her 13-year tenure with the company, culminating in her most recent position as Global Director of Career Development, a position which served the entire alumni and consulting staff of the company throughout 36 offices in 23 countries.

Ms. Jackson will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to design, plan and execute a comprehensive professional development curricula for the firm’s attorneys and professional staff. Some of the other areas on which she will focus will include the establishment of best practices and developing individual education and training programs.

Prior to her career at Bain, Ms. Jackson was a consultant with Drake Beam Morin and the principal of her own coaching and development practice. She has also held several positions in legal administration, including at Hale & Dorr (now WilmerHale) and Nutter McClennen & Fish (now Nutter). Prior to her career in professional development, she was a clinical social worker.

Ms. Jackson holds a M.S.W. from Washington University and a B.A. magna cum laude from Tufts University.
