Dr. Ronald DePinho Named Sole Finalist for Presidency, Dr. Lynda Chin to Join Faculty
Foley Hoag LLP congratulates Dr. Ronald DePinho, director of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science, for being named the sole finalist for the presidency of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
DePinho’s wife, Dr. Lynda Chin, scientific director of the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science, also will join the faculty of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the largest cancer center in the United States. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a Foley Hoag client.
Under Texas state law, university governing boards must name finalists for a presidency at least 21 days before making a formal appointment. The board tentatively is scheduled to finalize the selection at a June meeting.
