Foley Hoag Client uTest Closes $17M Series D Financing
December 6, 2011
Foley Hoag LLP represented software testing company uTest Inc. as it closed a $17 million Series D round of funding on Dec. 5.
The latest financing brings uTest’s total funding to more than $37 million since its 2007 founding, and marks one of the largest investments ever made in a crowdsourcing company. The financing will enable uTest to develop new tools that will help companies launch better apps; recruit additional employees; and open offices in Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and other app-creation hotspots.
Foley Hoag partner Gil Arie represented uTest, along with associates Erica Rice and Eric Belsley.
QuestMark Partners led the Series D round, with full participation from all of uTest’s previous institutional investors, including Scale Venture Partners, Longworth Venture Partners, Egan-Managed Capital and Mesco Ltd.
