PLC Names Foley Hoag a Top Firm for Venture Capital

Partners Peter Rosenblum, Jeffrey Quillen Receive Individual Rankings in Venture Capital Guide
Practical Law Company has ranked Foley Hoag LLP as one of the top law firms for venture capital in Boston in its 2012 PLC Venture Capital multi-jurisdictional guide.
PLC said Foley Hoag was “highly recommended” for venture capital. In addition, partners Peter Rosenblum and Jeffrey Quillen received individual recommendations in the venture capital guide.
Peter, who served as chairman of the firm’s Business Department from July 2008 through October 2011, counsels a broad range of clients in diverse industries concerning business and regulatory matters, financing strategies and structuring of corporate transactions. He is actively involved in the firm’s corporate and corporate finance practices, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity and other public and private offerings of securities.
Jeff, co-chair of Foley Hoag’s Life Sciences Practice Group, has a varied business law practice that focuses on companies that are developing and commercializing advanced technologies. He serves as outside general counsel to a number of emerging biotechnology, medical device and information technology companies. On the financing side, Jeff represents venture capital funds and emerging companies in venture capital financing transactions, including private placements of convertible preferred stock and convertible debt. Jeff also assists clients with complex licenses and strategic alliances.
