William R. Kolb
As a former Chair of the firm's Business Department and Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group, William Kolb is recognized in Chambers USA, Massachusetts SuperLawyers and The Legal 500 for his experience in transactional matters. He has represented both buyers and sellers (including a special board committee) of public and private companies, particularly those involved in the technology industry. William also works closely with technology companies on licensing matters, including complex in-bound and out-bound licenses of various intellectual property rights.
William also advises companies and their underwriters in public securities offerings, including clients such as Allaire, Aware, Banc of America Securities, Charles River Associates and Credit Suisse First Boston. He also provides these and other clients with counsel on compliance with the securities laws, Sarbanes-Oxley and other governance issues. In addition, his transactional work includes representation of high-growth and emerging companies seeking venture capital and strategic investments.
In addition to maintaining an active practice, William is a member of Foley Hoag’s Executive Committee.
William has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1984.
