  • Technology Specialist - High Tech

    Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our New York office for a Technology Specialist with a background in Computer Science. An M.S. or M.Eng. in Computer Science or a B.S. in Computer Science with relevant industry experience is preferred. Course work in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or applied mathematics is a plus.

    We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and up to three years of patent prosecution experience. Technical experience in the areas of machine learning, image analysis, cryptography, and software architecture would be particularly useful. A successful candidate who is not a registered patent agent will be expected to take and to pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of being hired.
