  • Systems Support Specialist

    Foley Hoag seeks a Systems Support Specialist to provide senior level desktop support at the highest level within the Applications/Desktop/Systems area. This individual is also required to assist the Systems Architect and Senior Systems Support Specialist in maintaining the firm’s desktop images and laptop images. This individual assists and reports directly to the Systems Architect but will also receive direction from the Senior Systems Support Specialist.

  • Network Engineer

    Foley Hoag seeks a Network Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of the firm’s voice, data and internet networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the firm. The role is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing the network infrastructure and application components. The Network Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures at all firm locations. The Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for voice, data and internet network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and participates in projects as needed. The Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. The Network Engineer will perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the network meets the performance expectations of the firm and users.

  • Technology Specialist – Computer Science

    Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our New York office for a Technology Specialist with a background in Computer Science. An M.S. or M.Eng. in Computer Science or a B.S. in Computer Science with relevant industry experience is preferred.

    We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and 0-3 years of patent prosecution experience. Technical experience in the areas of machine learning, image analysis, cryptography, and software architecture would be particularly useful.  A successful candidate who is not a registered patent agent will be expected to take and to pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of being hired.

  • Patent Docket Coordinator

    July 27, 2016

    Foley Hoag seeks a Patent Docket Coordinator with a solid understanding of the United States, International and various foreign Patent Office rules, procedures and guidelines. He/she must be able to apply this information correctly when reviewing PTO submissions to ensure we are meeting the requirements set in the respective communications. The integrity of the information maintained in the system is vital to ensuring the legal staff meet critical deadlines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating and maintaining patent prosecution files, maintaining database, entering deadlines and other case-specific data into docketing system, interpreting documents and identifying deadlines, preparing weekly and periodic reports, and following-up on deadlines. In addition, any general office administrative functions as necessary.
