Patent Associate - Biotech
May 11, 2018
Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our Boston office for an associate who is a registered patent attorney with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology or immunology.
We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and at least four years of prior patent prosecution experience, preferably patent prosecution experience gained after graduation from law school. Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, immunooncology, genetics, and agricultural biotechnology would be particularly useful.
We staff our clients’ patent matters leanly, affording associates an opportunity for significant responsibility and excellent career development. Associates typically work one-on-one with partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Such experience has contributed to the firm’s consistently excellent rankings in various national satisfaction surveys and industry recognition lists.
