Presented by Foley Hoag LLP

Over the past few months, the courts in Massachusetts have issued about a dozen decisions on the Act. The common thread of every case is that the employer lost. Further, many of the decisions represent a significant expansion of the scope of the Wage Act, including the right of employees outside of Massachusetts to bring such claims.

Please join us for a breakfast seminar where Robert A. Fisher, Jonathan A. Keselenko, and Lyndsey M. Kruzer of Foley Hoag’s Labor and Employment Department provide practical tips for avoiding and defeating Wage Act claims.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Employees based outside of Massachusetts
  • Commissions and bonuses
  • Vacation pay
  • Overtime compensation
  • Definition of "working time" for purposes of wage and hour laws
  • Important differences between state and federal wage and hour laws

  • Registration & Breakfast: 8:00 am - 8:30 am
  • Program: 8:30 am – 10:00 am
