On August 1, 2016, Governor Charlie Baker signed a new law designed to eliminate the wage gap between male and female workers in Massachusetts. The new law greatly expands upon the Commonwealth’s previous prohibitions on pay discrimination and imposes new restrictions on employment policies and inquiries into a prospective employee’s wage history.
