Foley Hoag Named One of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts

November 10, 2011

The Boston Globe has recognized Foley Hoag LLP as one of the 2011 Top Places to Work in Massachusetts.

Foley Hoag was one of only two law firms so recognized. Employers were measured on six factors: direction, execution, managers, career, conditions, and pay and benefits. The full rankings were published in a special supplement to the Nov. 6 Boston Sunday Globe.

“I’d like to extend my congratulations to Foley Hoag for their inclusion in the 2011 issue of The Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work, and for so clearly demonstrating effective ways to create a positive work environment,” said Chris Mayer, publisher of The Boston Globe.

“We are pleased to receive this recognition from the Globe,” said Adam Kahn, Foley Hoag co-managing partner. “Just as we strive to provide our clients with the highest quality legal services, we remain committed to providing a supportive, challenging and enjoyable workplace for all our attorneys and staff.”

This ranking comes on the heels of three other significant accolades for the firm.

The Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms ranked Foley Hoag No. 5 nationally in its best places to work category in June 2011. The survey also listed the firm No. 4 nationally for overall job satisfaction, No. 8 for LGBT diversity, No. 8 in the women diversity category, No. 9 nationally for overall diversity and No. 11 nationally in pro bono.

Foley Hoag also was ranked No. 23 nationally in The American Lawyer’s Midlevel Associates Survey, published in September 2011. In October 2011, the firm was ranked No. 4 nationally in The American Lawyer’s Summer Associates Survey.
