Foley Hoag Ranked in Global Arbitration Review’s 2012 GAR 100
March 26, 2012
Foley Hoag LLP has been ranked for the fifth consecutive year in the annual Global Arbitration Review GAR 100, a listing of the top international arbitration practices in the world.
In conjunction with the GAR 100, Foley Hoag partners Ronald Goodman and Bruno Leurent were noted on the Who’s Who Legal list for international arbitration. Ron is a Washington, D.C.-based partner who co-chairs the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice, and Bruno is a Paris-based partner.
This year, Global Arbitration Review based its GAR 100 survey on the number of merits hearings a firm participated in during the past two years, the number of lawyers rated highly enough to be listed in the Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration and the value of what has been at stake during the merit hearings, among other criteria.
Foley Hoag has one of the world’s most respected and experienced groups of lawyers practicing international litigation and arbitration. The firm has successfully represented various foreign government and State-owned business entities in disputes between investors and sovereign States in the world’s principal arbitral forums, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and ad hoc UNCITRAL tribunals, among others. The firm also maintains a premier State-to-State litigation practice, representing sovereigns before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
