MassDOT ECO Honors Given to Foley Hoag and Director of Operations Holly Evers

Awards Recognize Excellence in Commuter Options in Massachusetts

April 1, 2013

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) recognized Foley Hoag LLP and Director of Operations Holly Evers as 2013 ECO Award winners for Excellence in Commuter Options.

Foley Hoag was one of 129 employers honored at a reception on March 28 at Fenway Park. The firm placed in the Leadership Award category, as it met certain criteria such as continued participation in MassDOT-sponsored commuter programs and offering a predetermined number of transportation benefits to employees.

Evers was the recipient of the Outstanding Employee Transportation Coordinator Award, in recognition of her continued involvement with and support of MassDOT initiatives to provide green, sustainable and healthy transportation options in the Commonwealth.

“Foley Hoag has been an ardent supporter of MassDOT and its numerous travel option programs, many of which benefit our employees on a daily basis,” Evers said. “We remain committed to making Massachusetts a greener place to live by offering sustainable transportation alternatives that help reduce traffic congestion, promote healthy lifestyles and benefit the environment.”

Through various statewide travel options programs, MassDOT supports employers in their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by decreasing drive-alone trips while encouraging employees to travel to work by transit, carpools, vanpools, bicycling or walking, or through support of telework programs. The organization acknowledges these endeavors with the annual ECO Awards.
