Foley Hoag LLP associate Ofilio Mayorga will be a featured speaker at the Colloquium on International Investment Law & the Law of Armed Conflict, being held October 5-6, 2017 at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece.

Mayorga’s presentation, “Arbitration of Disputes Under State Contracts in Times of Military Occupation,” will discuss the status of pre-war State contracts in occupied territories and the extent to which a foreign investor may invoke the jurisdiction of an arbitral tribunal to hold an Occupying Power liable for the breach of a pre-war contract.
