Foley Hoag LLP and several international litigation and arbitration attorneys in its Paris office have been recognized in the 2017 edition of the Legal 500: Paris and Best Lawyers in France 2018 Edition.

Through research, client feedback and interviews with leading private practice lawyers, the Legal 500 assesses the strengths of law firms in over 100 jurisdictions and highlights practice area teams that provide the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel.

The publication, which is produced annually, cited that Foley Hoag's International Litigation and Arbitration Department "specializes in international commercial arbitrations, investor-State arbitrations, and enforcements proceeding," and "represents States, government entities and private companies." It also quoted a client as saying that the firm provides “very professional service in complex international matters.”

In addition, attorneys Thomas Bevilacqua, Philippe Sarrailhé, Pierre d’Argent, Bruno Leurent and Hery Ranjeva were recognized for their “deep legal knowledge and the attention that they give to their clients.”

Best Lawyers - the peer review guide to the legal profession worldwide - published its eighth annual list of peer-recommended French lawyers. Six lawyers from Foley Hoag's Paris office are among those listed in the 2018 edition of Best Lawyers in France: Thomas Bevilacqua, Arbitration and International Arbitration; Corentin Chevalier, Environmental Law; Carine Le Roy-Gleizes, Environmental Law; Bruno Leurent, International Arbitration; Catherine Muyl, Intellectual Property; and Frédéric Scanvic, Administrative and Public Law.

Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. Its methodology is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
