April 2, 2018
Foley Hoag AARPI has announced the arrival of partner Frédéric Cohen, resident in the firm’s Paris office. Cohen will focus his practice on assisting clients with private M&A transactions, restructuring and general corporate matters.
"We are very excited to add corporate capabilities to our Paris office," said Foley Hoag Co-Managing Partner Jeffrey Collins. "Frédéric has considerable experience working on a variety of corporate matters in France, which will complement our existing areas of concentration there, including arbitration, administrative and environmental law, and intellectual property. We welcome Frédéric to the firm."
Cohen joins Foley Hoag from the Paris office of Courtois Lebel, where he served as partner and co-director of the firm’s Corporate/M&A Department, representing French and international companies and company groups, insurance groups and investment funds. He is a member of the Paris Bar.
"I very much look forward to working with the attorneys at Foley Hoag," said Cohen. "The firm's solid international reputation for quality legal work and high-level client service was very attractive to me."
Coinciding with Cohen's arrival, Alexandre Plas has joined Foley Hoag as an associate in the Paris office. Cohen and Plas have worked together for the past several years at Courtois Lebel. He has experience working on international M&A transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, corporate law and private equity matters. Plas is a member of the Paris Bar.
With the additions of Cohen and Plas, Foley Hoag’s Paris office now includes eight partners, two counsel and six associates.
