Dr. Ronald Goodman is a partner in the firm’s Washington office and co-chairs the firm’s international litigation and arbitration practice.
Dr. Goodman concentrates his practice in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on commercial, investor-state, project, energy, and construction matters. Ron represents foreign government and corporate clients in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings before international tribunals, courts, and commissions. He also advises governments with respect to law reform, restructuring, treaties, privatization and project finance matters.

Ron has represented corporations, sovereigns, and sovereign entities in numerous international arbitration proceedings, including those before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), American Arbitration Association (AAA), European Development Fund (EDF), International Arbitral Centre of the Federal Economic Chamber Vienna, as well as various U.S. courts.
Dr. Goodman is also an adjunct professor at the American University, School of Law where he teaches a course on International Law and Investor-State Arbitration.
