Jenevieve Maerker has a broad litigation practice with a focus on intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, and patent disputes. In addition to practicing in federal and state courts, Jenevieve represents clients in adversarial proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and advises individuals and businesses on licensing and brand development issues. She also has significant experience in general commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and administrative appeals. Jenevieve’s practice encompasses preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, working with expert witnesses, and overseeing complex fact investigations and document discovery projects.

  • Represented a client in successful mediation involving non-traditional trademark issues.
  • Represented numerous brand owners in opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Assisted a musician in clearing rights from music publishers in the United States and abroad to release a new adaptation of a preexisting work.
  • Participated in representing a major research university in litigation in multiple jurisdictions relating to various life sciences technology licensing agreements.
  • Advised and represented policyholders in coverage litigation relating to liability and property insurance in federal and state courts.
  • Represented Massachusetts non-profit corporations in litigation challenging regulatory rule-making, including an appeal to the Supreme Judicial Court.
