• Represents clients seeking recovery of costs expended for the remediation of environmental contamination under M.G.L. Chapter 21E
• Represents several businesses pursuing insurers for reimbursement of defense and indemnification costs in connection with complex environmental liabilities
• Represents a medical device manufacturer in an effort to obtain reimbursement of more than $125 million from excess insurance carriers in connection with alleged device failure
• Represented regulated electric generator in suit regarding implementation of Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative
• Represented clients in property tax abatement proceedings and negotiations with local and state agencies
• Successfully challenged the denial of air emission reduction credits by a state environmental agency
• Defended operators of institutions and industrial facilities, including recycled paper mills and power plants against enforcement actions brought by state and federal environmental agencies

Prevailed at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, creating new law regarding agency compliance with NEPA, United States v. Coalition for Buzzards Bay, 644 F.3d 26 (1st Cir. 2011)
