Meredith Haviland’s corporate practice focuses on investment advisers, emerging companies and investors. She advises registered investment advisers and hedge fund managers on various matters of regulatory compliance and assists with the formation of both onshore and offshore hedge funds. Meredith also represents investors in venture capital transactions, including initial and follow-on rounds. On the company side, she counsels start-up companies on securing venture capital financing, as well as advising them on formation and general corporate matters.

  • Represented System Industrie Electronic Holding AG in the sale of its subsidiary, SIE Computing Solutions, Inc.
  • Represented Arcam AB in its acquisition of DiStanto Technology, Inc.
  • Represented Te Waihou Plantations Limited in connection with its acquisition of forestry land and related assets from Carter Holt Harvey HBU Limited.
  • Acquisition of Interactive Supercomputing by Microsoft
  • ABIOMED, Inc.’s acquisition of Impella CardioSystems AG
  • Extensive experience with international forestry transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of forestry land and related assets in New Zealand and Australia.
