Foley Hoag Attorney Manuela de la Helguera to Serve as Panelist at ICC Young Arbitrators Forum
August 19, 2016
Foley Hoag LLP international associate Manuela de la Helguera will participate in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) YAF - Latin America Regional Conference, being held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
de la Helguera’s panel, “The So-Called Due Process Paranoia,” will discuss how arbitral tribunals are hesitant to take certain decisions for fear that their awards are questioned, making difficult their recognition and enforcement. The session will also examine the ICC Commission Report on Arbitration & ADR, “Effective Management of Arbitration.”
As a member of Foley Hoag’s International Litigation and Arbitration Department, de la Helguera focuses her practice on international dispute resolution, particularly on investor-State disputes before the Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and international commercial arbitrations.
