Foley Hoag Partner Euripides Dalmanieras Named a 2016 Lawyer of the Year by Mass. Lawyers Weekly
January 18, 2017
Foley Hoag LLP partner Euripides Dalmanieras has been named a 2016 Lawyer of the Year by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW). Lawyer of the Year honorees are nominated by colleagues, clients and other legal professionals in recognition of their contributions to the practice of law.
Dalmanieras was specifically chosen for his work on Bryan Corp. v. Abrano, 474 Mass. 504 (2016), in which he successfully represented Foley Hoag client Lymol Medical Corp. in persuading the Supreme Judicial Court to affirm the disqualification of an opposing law firm for violating Rule 1.7 of the Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct and the duty of loyalty that lawyers owe to each of their clients.
Dalmanieras is profiled in the January 16 edition of MLW, and will be acknowledged at the Leaders in the Law awards celebration to be held on March 2, 2017.
Dalmanieras focuses his practice on the defense of accounting firms, closely held corporation disputes, insurance coverage litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. His work defending accounting firms is extensive, and includes representations of all Big Four firms in securities class actions, investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and professional malpractice claims brought in federal and state courts in the United States.
