Foley Hoag LLP partner August Horvath has been recognized by the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI), which bestowed upon him the 2021 Service to FDLI Award. Horvath is being recognized during the 2021 FDLI Annual Conference, held virtually from May 18-20, 2021.
Established in 2017, the Service to FDLI Award honors FDLI members who have provided exceptional volunteer services to FDLI, furthering FDLI’s mission as a neutral convener to educate and spark innovative change. The Award’s criteria centers on a long-standing history of quality contributions to FDLI. According to FDLI, Horvath exemplifies the dedication and leadership needed to promote public health, advance the food and drug law field, and ensure a robust and innovative regulatory environment.
Horvath, a partner in Foley Hoag's Advertising & Marketing practice, is a noted advertising and antitrust attorney. He counsels clients on how to substantiate and defend marketing claims they wish to make for their products and services, helps them challenge false and disparaging advertising by their competitors, and assists them in managing relationships with competitors, customers and suppliers without conflicting with antitrust laws.
