Foley Hoag Partner Harlan Levy Named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York

Foley Hoag LLP partner Harlan Levy has been named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, one of the nation's largest, oldest and most influential bar organizations.
Levy recently joined Foley Hoag as Co-Chair of the State Attorney General practice. He is resident in the firm’s New York office and is helping to expand Foley Hoag’s State Attorney General Investigations, white collar crime and other litigation capabilities.
From 2018-2021, Levy served on the Association’s Board of Directors. He was previously Chair of the Association’s Council on Criminal Justice, and President of the Federal Bar Council Inn of Court.
Levy previously served as Chief Deputy Attorney General of the State of New York, the second-ranking official in the Attorney General’s Office (2011-2015). He oversaw many of that office’s most significant investigations and litigations. Earlier in his career he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Major Offense/Career Criminal Bureau of the Manhattan DA’s Office.
Founded in 1870, the New York City Bar Association is dedicated to maintaining the high ethical standards of the legal profession, promoting reform of the law and providing service to the profession and the public. Through the work of its numerous committees, the Association addresses many critical legal and public policy issues.
