Foley Hoag LLP partners Malcolm Henderson and John Shope have been named to the 2022 BTI Client Service All-Stars list. Henderson and Shope are part of a select group of attorneys recognized by in-house corporate counsel as client service leaders.
This annual survey conducted by BTI Consulting Group is the “gold standard” used by corporate counsel and law firms alike to identify leading attorneys who “stand above all the others in delivering the absolutely best in client service.” Those recognized are from over 15 industry segments and are notably recognized for being practical, savvy, “in the know,” able to deal with complexity, available, and nimble, as defined by BTI’s definition of a Client Service All-Star.
Henderson is Co-Chair of Foley Hoag's Debt Finance Practice and focuses on debt and other corporate finance transactions. He has extensive experience representing clients in sophisticated debt financings. BTI noted the following client commentary: "The excellence of Malcolm's work product stands out," and "He is very responsive and communicative."
As recognized by BTI, the primary focus of Shope’s dispute resolution practice is complex commercial litigation, including consumer class action litigation. BTI noted the following client commentary: "John demonstrates excellent legal skills," and "He always produces a superior work product."
BTI Consulting staff conducted more than 350 in-depth interviews with top legal decision-makers at large organizations worth more than $700 million in revenue between January-November 2021 to arrive at the final list. BTI Client Service All-Stars also draws on data collected in BTI’s ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel. This study includes between 50% and 55% of companies participating in prior years. This approach provides for accurate analysis of longitudinal trends while simultaneously allowing for insights into new, changing, and coming shifts in the legal market.
