Foley Hoag Receives 2022 Tipping the Scales Award for Gender Parity
November 08, 2022
Foley Hoag LLP has again been named a recipient of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s Tipping the Scales Award. The award recognizes Foley Hoag’s dedication to diversity and inclusion within the firm’s partnership. Foley Hoag was one of just 57 law firms to receive this distinction.
The Tipping the Scales Award is given to law firms that have 50 percent or more women in their U.S.-based 2022 new partner class. This is the third year in a row that the firm has received this recognition.
"We are honored to be recognized for our ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at Foley Hoag," said Managing Partner Jeffrey Collins. "As an organization, we are committed to providing women and other diverse populations the resources and support required to become – and succeed as – partners at the firm."
The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance is a think tank that collaborates with organizations to develop non-stigmatized flexible work policies that promote inclusive work cultures and help to advance more women into leadership positions. The Alliance provides practical research-based solutions, training workshops, and strategic advisory services that increase organizational effectiveness through diversity and flexibility.
Since 2012, the Alliance has released its New Partner Report which is an annual compilation and examination of publicly released data from members and the nation’s largest and top-grossing law firms. It specifically examines the gender breakdown of attorneys promoted to partnership in their US offices.
