Foley Hoag Partner Barbara Fiacco Recognized as a 2023 "Go To Lawyer" for IP by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
July 24, 2023
Intellectual Property Department Co-Chair, Barbara Fiacco, has been named a 2023 “Go To Lawyer” for Intellectual Property by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. This program recognizes top lawyers across Massachusetts who are leaders in their field.
The publication identifies a “Go To Lawyer” as a well-versed, experienced senior attorney with a long record of success and to whom other lawyers make referrals for their expertise and accomplishments. Individuals recognized were nominated by their peers and ultimately chosen by a Lawyers Weekly panel.
As an internationally known leader in the intellectual property bar, Fiacco has obtained favorable results for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies as well as universities and research institutions in the life sciences. Her broad experience in this space includes disputes involving patent infringement, patent validity and enforceability, inventorship and ownership, trade secret misappropriation, and related commercial disputes.
Ranked by Chambers USA, of IAM Patent 1000, and Managing IP: IP Stars as one of Massachusetts' leading intellectual property lawyers, Fiacco is highly skilled at teaching science to non-scientists as she advocates for her clients. She simplifies complex scientific principles for both judge and jury, making them understandable, interesting, and relevant.
