Foley Hoag Announces Management Elevations

Foley Hoag LLP recently announced that Nicole Archibald, Kate Boucher, Edmund DeStefano and Scott Fortier have been elevated to Chief Officer status, and Jennifer Thorsen to Assistant General Counsel status.

  • Nicole Archibald. Chief Legal Recruiting Officer. Archibald oversees Foley Hoag’s legal recruiting function, including law student hiring, the summer program, and lateral patent professional, associate, counsel and partner hiring and integration. She works with management, department chairs and practice leaders, and the Hiring Committee to ensure the alignment of recruiting goals, outcomes and policies with the firm's vision and values.
  • Kate Boucher. Chief Business Development Officer. Boucher leads Foley Hoag’s business development, marketing, communications, branding, client service and public relations functions. She collaborates with firm leadership and attorneys to promote competitive advantages and leads strategic planning initiatives that deepen and expand client relationships.
  • Edmund DeStefano. Chief Administrative Officer.  DeStefano provides thought leadership and develops strategies with regards to the firm's real estate portfolio and space management, paralegal and practice management operations, vendor management, contract negotiation, sustainability, and oversight of the day-to-day office operations throughout the firm.
  • Scott Fortier. Chief Human Resources Officer. Fortier is responsible for managing all aspects of Foley Hoag's human resources function, including employee relations, employee and lawyer benefits, performance reviews and salary administration, and human resources record keeping. He also develops and implements firmwide human resources policies and procedure.
  • Jennifer Thorsen. Assistant General Counsel and Director of Conflicts, Intake and Information Governance. Thorsen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the conflicts review, clearance, and intake processes, including the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest associated with the pursuit of new firm business opportunities and the hiring of attorney candidates, as well as Foley Hoag's information governance policies and procedures. She will work closely with partner Mike Rosen as General Counsel of Foley Hoag, overseeing the firm’s risk management practices
