Tad Heuer Selected for Abstract Club

November 18, 2025

Foley Hoag is pleased to announce that Partner Tad Heuer has been named to the Abstract Club. Founded over 150 years ago to foster professional excellence and collegial exchange among leading real estate practitioners, the Abstract Club is comprised of Massachusetts lawyers considered by their peers to be leaders in real estate law. Membership is limited to 100 individuals and is by invitation only.

Tad’s appointment reflects his significant contributions to complex real estate matters and his leadership within the Massachusetts legal community.  He is a leading appellate practitioner in land use matters, having won multiple unanimous decisions before the Supreme Judicial Court and Massachusetts Appeals Court on matters ranging from eminent domain to renewable energy permitting. He also routinely advises educational and cultural institutions, private corporations, and public authorities on obtaining critical land use approvals for their high-profile development projects. Tad is a former member of the Cambridge Zoning Board of Appeal, the former chair of the Wellesley Historical Commission, and the co-chair of the Real Estate Bar Association amicus committee.
