Tyler Boschert advises life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and technology companies on intellectual property strategy, patent portfolio development, and IP protection. Drawing on his background in chemical engineering, he helps clients align patent strategies with business objectives, protect innovative technologies, and navigate complex intellectual property challenges across domestic and international markets.

Tyler is a trusted intellectual property advisor with extensive experience managing complex patent portfolios and developing strategic IP programs for startups, established companies, and research institutions. He works closely with inventors, researchers, and business leaders to identify, protect, and leverage intellectual property assets that support long-term growth and innovation.

His practice includes patent prosecution, global portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analyses, intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, and IP enforcement strategies. Tyler also has significant experience negotiating intellectual property agreements and advising clients in contested matters involving patent validity and related disputes.

With a technical foundation in chemical engineering and economics, Tyler understands the scientific and commercial considerations that shape innovation-driven businesses. He regularly advises clients whose technologies span pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemical processes, advanced materials, and other emerging technologies, helping them navigate the evolving intellectual property landscape while advancing their business objectives.

  • Together with David Walker, oversees patent prosecution and strategy for a client recognized by a major patent trade publication as being one of the world’s ten most innovative biotech startups and having a portfolio of “exceptional patent quality.”*
  • Secured patent protection on methods and systems relating to a comprehensive gene catalog of the human vaginal microbiome, enabling the development of targeted live biotherapeutic products for gynecological and obstetric indications.*
  • Created and implemented global patent strategy for stable, solid-phase ozone compositions useful in sachets incorporated into food packaging to release ozone gas to improve food safety and improve shelf life.*
