Dr. Tracy Vrablik brings an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to protecting life science innovations including antibody technologies, gene therapies, cell therapies, AI-assisted technologies, diagnostics, and biologics manufacturing. She provides practical, business-focused advice to clients on a unique blend of patent strategy, due diligence, and life science transactions. She is an experienced and detail-oriented advisor that draws from her diverse Ph. D. and postdoctoral training to deliver effective advice that advances her clients’ commercial goals.
Tracy provides strategic counsel to clients at all stages of the patent life cycle, including patent drafting, global patent prosecution, patent term extension, landscape analyses, non-infringement and invalidity analyses, IP due diligence, and IP-related transactions. She has experience across a range of technologies including protein therapeutics, antibodies and immunology-based technologies, gene therapies, gene editing, cell therapies, genetically engineered organisms, vaccines, diagnostics, cannabis-related technologies, AI-assisted technologies, and biologics manufacturing.
In addition to pharma and biotech companies, Tracy works with universities, research institutions, and venture capital investors, to provide patentability and freedom-to-operate assessments, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, perform IP diligence, and prepare agreements.
Prior to her legal career, Tracy completed her postdoctoral research at Washington State University, where she combined genetic, proteomic, and biochemical approaches to understand the developmental roles of lipid droplets in C. elegans. Tracy obtained her Ph.D. from Penn State University, where she used a multidisciplinary approach to uncover molecularly distinct roles of the vitamin B3 salvage pathway in development and physiology of C. elegans. Prior to her Ph.D., she conducted research related to organic synthesis and characterization of molecular umbrella conjugates.
