Robert P. Haney Jr. has joined Foley Hoag LLP as partner in the Litigation Department. He is resident in the firm’s New York office and will lead the Labor & Employment practice there.
With more than 30 years of experience, Haney represents major corporations as well as small and mid-sized biotech, financial and technology firms in complex commercial disputes including arbitrations, jury trials, bench trials and mediations. He also counsels clients in the life sciences industry in matters pertaining to employment and intellectual property issues.
“Bob is a highly talented litigator and a welcome addition to our firm,” said Foley Hoag Co-Managing Partner Jeffrey Collins. “As a leading figure in trade secret theft and executive departures, he deepens our Labor & Employment practice and strengthens our ability to expertly guide clients through even the most complex of employment matters.”
In addition to his experience litigating a full range of business and financial disputes, Haney has an extensive background in disputes involving departures of senior executives, trade secret misappropriation and non-competes, as well as internal investigations related to executive employees.
Prior to joining the firm, Haney was a partner in the New York office of Covington & Burling LLP. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College, a Master of Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
