Foley Hoag Client Vineyard Wind 1 Closes Historic Tax Equity Financing of First Commercial Scale Offshore Wind Farm in the U.S.

Foley Hoag LLP congratulates long-time client Vineyard Wind 1 LLC on closing its historic tax equity financing for the 800-megawatt Vineyard Wind 1 offshore wind project, currently under construction in the waters south of the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. Read Vineyard Wind’s announcement here.

The Vineyard Wind 1 project plays an important role in America’s clean energy future, provisioning over 400,000 homes and businesses with electricity, saving ratepayers $1.4 billion over the first 20 years, reducing 1.6 million tons of carbon emissions per year and creating jobs that will benefit the full community.
