Foley Hoag LLP partner Barbara Fiacco and associate Mital Patel have been recognized by World Intellectual Property Review in its 2024 edition of
WIPR Diversity in IP listings.
Fiacco was ranked in the Influential Women in IP category, which lists “the best and brightest women in the field of intellectual property.” This list recognizes those who have garnered significant professional achievements and/or made an impact in promoting diversity and inclusion in the sector.
Patel was ranked in the Trailblazers in IP category, which highlights “outstanding people with a decade or less of experience in the IP industry who have already made their mark on the sector.” The ranking also recognizes those who stood out due to their impressive practice in IP and/or their determination to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within the sector.
Fiacco is Co-Chair of Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department and the Patent Litigation Practice. She represents biopharmaceutical companies, universities, and research institutions in complex intellectual property and patent litigation matters. Fiacco has successfully litigated significant patent, inventorship, trade secrets and licensing disputes.
Patel focuses her practice on patent litigation and advertising law matters. She has counseled clients across industries including pharmaceutical and technology companies, research institutions, and consumer product goods companies. Mital is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and Hiring Committee.
