SEC Taps Foley Hoag Partner Rose Standifer for Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee
November 05, 2024
Foley Hoag LLP partner Rose Standifer has been appointed to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee. This four-year appointment positions Standifer as a key voice on critical issues impacting entrepreneurs, investors, and the future of small business.
The committee provides advice and recommendations to the Commission on rules, regulations, and policy matters relating to small businesses, including smaller public companies. Its members represent a diverse spectrum of entrepreneurs, investors, and advisers who work with early-stage private companies and smaller public companies, including minority- and women-owned small businesses.
Standifer focuses on counseling clients on company formations, venture capital financings, technology licenses, and mergers and acquisitions. She works with high growth companies and venture capital investors, primarily in the clean energy, climate, life sciences and technology sectors.
Standifer's arrival at Foley Hoag's Denver office in January 2024, along with a team of emerging companies focused attorneys, marked a significant milestone for the firm's rapidly expanding presence in the market, less than a year after it was established. This latest appointment solidifies Foley Hoag's position as a thought leader in the emerging company space.
