Foley Hoag Expands Denver Presence with New Downtown Office

October 28, 2025

In late September, the firm relocated its office in Denver to a 10,000-square-foot space in the LoDo Towers at 1331 17th Street, just steps from Union Station and Coors Field. As Denver Partner-in-Charge Rose Standifer shared in an interview with Law360, the location was chosen for its accessibility and proximity to clients, amenities, and courthouses—key factors for both convenience and strategic growth.

“Lower downtown is an ideal location for Foley Hoag, especially given our strong ties to the emerging company and startup ecosystem in the Front Range,” said Standifer. “The space offers views of the Rocky Mountains and downtown Denver, and we’re thrilled to have our team together here.”

Standifer, who joined Foley Hoag in January 2024, leads the firm’s Denver office, which includes individuals focused on emerging companies, venture capital, patent prosecution, labor and employment, and nonprofit work.

The office design reflects Foley Hoag’s commitment to both privacy and collaboration, featuring a mix of open workspaces, private offices with glass doors, and communal areas such as open kitchens. Weekly team lunches and designated core days foster connection and mentorship among attorneys and staff, Standifer noted to Law360.

Over the past year, Foley Hoag’s Denver office has welcomed three new partners: Brooke Fritz, who brings deep experience in tech transactions; Matthew Jonsen, focused on life sciences patent work; and Melanie Bartlett, whose practice centers on nonprofit tax law. The firm continues to actively recruit in the region to meet growing client demand, particularly in the clean energy, climate, life sciences, and technology sectors.

“Denver is our westernmost office, and our presence here allows us to engage more deeply with clients in key industries,” Standifer said. “We’re proud of the work our team is doing and excited about the continued growth of our Denver practice.”
