Foley Hoag is pleased to announce that Edo Banach, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare Department, has been unanimously elected to the national board of directors of CHC: Creating Healthier Communities (CHC), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity and improving community health outcomes nationwide.
CHC’s board of directors provides strategic oversight and guidance to support the organization’s mission of closing health gaps and expanding opportunity so that every person has the chance to live their healthiest life.
“I am honored to join the CHC board at such an important moment for community health,” said Banach. “CHC’s commitment to ensuring every person has the opportunity to live their healthiest life is a mission I care deeply about. I look forward to contributing my experience to support CHC’s vital work.”
Banach brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of healthcare policy, regulation, and delivery. At Foley Hoag, he advises healthcare organizations, associations, and innovators on complex Medicare and Medicaid regulatory and payment matters, helping clients navigate evolving federal and state healthcare policy.
Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Banach served as president and CEO of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, where he led national advocacy efforts before the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the White House. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Director of CMS’s Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office, overseeing policy initiatives affecting beneficiaries eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
